July 4th Weekend!

So I know it's WAY past the 4th of July... But I had wrote this blog up and forgot to post it... better late than never, right? Asher and I head to Canada tomorrow so wish us luck and I'll post some pictures when we get back!!!

Also.. we had A's 15 Month check up yesterday.. he is now 24.2 pounds and 31.5 inches long! He is in the 70% for height and 60% for weight. He looks just perfect! (but I already knew that... LOL)

We had a GREAT July 4th weekend! It was a beautiful weekend (not 100 degrees) here and we spent a lot of time outside this weekend. Saturday night Asher saw his first fireworks show! We went to a friends for a cookout and on our way home stopped and watched the Chattanooga city fireworks. We kept Asher out a little over his bed time so he was a little tired, but he hung in there like a trooper!

Then on Sunday we went to MaMaw and PaPaw's. We played outside in our sprinkler pool...

And ran all around... naked.



Who needs a bathing suit when your at the farm!!!! (look at that cute little tush!)

Then for dinner Asher tried MaMaw's corn... and wow... did he love it! I know I've mentioned how much he loves food, but man, he had a blast. I think it was also because he was so funny and we were all cracking up laughing at him... but he held that corn like a regular and thought it was so funny when he actually got some in his mouth!!!


His little smile makes my heart melt!

Then Monday we spent all day at the pool! Such a fun weekend!

Happy Birthday Dylan!

This past weekend we celebrated my nephew Dylan's 1st birthday!!! Yay! We had a great time. It was a kiddie pool party and Asher had a blast. He LOVES going to Aunt Jaime's and Uncle John's house because there is so much fun stuff to do there! It's so great that Asher and Dylan are the same age. :)

Also, please laugh at the cake. LOL. Jaime and I made the brillant decision to make him a truck/car smash cake the night before his party and didn't start until 11pm. Ha! But when the cake starting sinking on one side we knew we were in trouble... I'm crafty in many ways, but when it comes to baking I think i'll leave it up to the pros....LOL!!! (it did provide lots of laughter so that was worth it - I love my sis!)

Asher's First Playgroup!

Today we went to Asher's first playgroup! It was great. I had met a couple other mom's in Asher's kindermusic class and joined their playgroup! A wonderful mom had everyone over and we had a "Water Play" day! Asher had a blast. He was amazed at all the kids. He never really gets to play with other kids so I this was really good for him and wore him out!

As we were taking the group picture everyone was yelling "CHEESE" and it made Asher upset! HA. I think it was too overwhelming for him and he stood right up and ran towards me and started crying.. LOL. Oh my little boy!

Notice everyone is fine.. still sitting... except Asher had enough! Too many people yelling! I'm outta here! (then he darted towards me crying... LOL)

Hilton Head

We just got back from a vacation to Hilton Head Island. We had a great time! We all needed a vacation and so we celebrated Josh's birthday and Mother's Day by going to the beach! We always have the best time on vacation so it's nice to get away. Asher did great and had a blast. I really think this week he graduated to being a toddler. He isn't a baby anymore... :(

He got over his fear of the ocean and realized how much he loves the water. He learned how to stand up from a sitting position and walk around all by himself. He can walk/run anywhere now and nothing is going to stop him, and he likes pizza and ice cream! LOL. He was such a big boy this week.

Outside of our place were these amazing flowers..

All week long we rode bikes everywhere. We tried to not get in the car at all. We rented a kid cart for Asher and he loved it. He actually fell asleep in it a couple times. Can you see his little head popping out of the cart??

The first few days at the beach Asher was a little scared of the ocean, but he warmed up and towards the end of the week the minute I let go of his hand he DARTED to the water. He couldn't get enough of the waves.

And we liked playing in the sand too..

At the end of the week our friends Brian and Jennifer came down to celebrate Josh's birthday.

We had a great time. Went to the pool, beach, and oh yeah.. Jennifer and I kicked the guys butts at Cranium. :)

It was so great to spend the week together! Asher really had a great time... and so did we!

I can't wait until our next vacation!!!!

1 year checkup

Asher had his 1 year checkup. He is doing great. He weighs 22.10 pounds and is 31 inches tall. I have a hard time believing the 31 inches b/c when he stands up to my wall at home he is only 29.. but they measure laying down.... so... who knows... Still pretty tall. :)

He is in the 85% for height and 50% for weight so he looks great! Still eating like a CHAMP. We've switched to whole milk so he needs to drink a little more of that, but i am so blessed that he is a happy, healthy little guy! Couldn't ask for anything better than that!

Asher is officially 1!!!! Yay! Happy Birthday my sweet baby boy!

I can't believe it's been a whole year. Time sure does fly by. Its hard to imagine how much we he/we have grown in the past year. From a little 7 pound boy to now almost 23 pounds and a little personality. It's amazing. Asher is the absolute best baby that I could ever imagine (which makes me a little nervous for the next baby!!). He is happy and relaxed, sleeps and eats great, and is has the best smile and laugh on earth. He is such a blessing. Happy Birthday Ash! I love you more than you could imagine!


April 7th 2009 -





Last weekend we had Asher's 1st birthday party!!! We had a small little get together and had a blast. The weather was perfect and we sat out on the porch and watched the kids play with the sand and water table! Dylan and Asher LOVED it.
